Scoring Methodology

How We Calculate Your ACFT Score

Transparency matters. Here is exactly how every score is computed.

01

Official FM 7-22.02 Tables

Every score lookup table in our calculator is copied exactly from Army Field Manual FM 7-22.02. We don't estimate or approximate the source data. Each event's point thresholds are implemented as TypeScript constants and verified against the published standard.

02

Linear Interpolation

When your performance falls between two table entries, we use the same linear interpolation method the Army uses. A 242 lb deadlift doesn't round down to 240. It scores precisely between the adjacent table values, giving you the most accurate result possible.

03

Instant Client-Side Scoring

All calculations run entirely in your browser using TypeScript. No server round-trip, no delay, no data sent anywhere. Your results are yours alone. We never transmit or store your performance data.

✓ Test-validated: Our scoring engine is verified against 60+ automated test cases covering every event boundary, minimum passing value, and maximum score.
